Empty seats!!!

At the Olympic Park, Basketball day return tickets are resold to those in the park for £5 each. However, 'officially' the other sports did not get returns so therefore did not have the same policy.
Is it believable that Handball, Hockey etc are all sold out?
I believe the tickets are for two match sessions and what can happen is some people come to watch their country only. If this is the first match then after they go, a number of empty seats are left behind.
Why is the system not sophisticated enough to allow these to be resold???
I saw a couple of water polo matches on Monday and only a handful of people left after the first one. I think most people feel it's their only chance to see an Olympic match and stay. There were loads of empty seats though but they were the 'Olympic family' ones.0 -
there are Olympic park tickets for sale right now for......28th July....not joking...see if anyone else can find them, of course not available once I click on it but wonder what's happened there?
I am so envious of my friend who got 2 athletic tickets for Saturday last night, he said he got on the website 20 mins after they went on sale, had a 15 minute wait after requesting the tickets so missed the 50 pound tickets but got the 95 pound tickets.
only the category aa, a or b were still available by the time I was online.0 -
Watching the Del Potro/ Nishikori tennis match now on BBC Live and Court 1 looks like 1/3 empty??
Wonder if anyone has started a blog/ site showcasing empty seat pics to continuously shame LOCOG?
All this talk of releasing more seats etc for mpre people...no difference at Wimbldedon??0 -
I was at the gymnastics yesterday, and had to ask to move seats because someone next to us was seriously bad B.O. ...like you wouldn't believe!!
Anyway they moved us to slightly worse seats, and refused to do anything else, even though there were hundreds of gaps on level one at the front.0 -
That's so rubbish Debs. Maybe we can dress up in suits and sneak into the posh seats when no one's looking!!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0

Hundreds of empty seats on day 1. We were at equestrian at Greenwich Park where we counted around 600 empty seats in one block
These were all day tickets and some people turned up at around 2pm to watch Mary King ride then left again! it was a six hour event!!!
In the evening we had tickets to women's Volleyball...again at least 500 empty seats. So frustrating...my OH is one of the troops behind the scenes (feeding the security guys) and on a rare day off but couldn't come into the stadiums with us as he had no ticket...so annoyed to have an empty seat next to me and know that he was outside waiting for us
Some of our group did move seats...I think it all depends on the games makers on the entrance to the stands
Absolutely ridiculous that the tickets being released are still at the higher price bands...just get the venues filled!
Have tickets for next week and have managed to get OH some through travel company...strange that they are still sitting on tickets0 -

Our tickets were booked through 'Sport Experiences' - we are on a school trip so don't know if that makes a difference but when I last spoke to them, on Thursday, they had tickets for several events including women's football final and canoe sprint (which is what we are seeing next week)
The person I booked tickets with couldn't take payment which meant someone had to call me back...which didn't happen until Friday! They insist on posting tickets out (meaning mine won't be here till Tuesday for Thursdays events  ) but may be worth a quick google search? Although when we tried calling them last weekend as we had issues with our accommodation the office was closedbut give it try you may get lucky? HTH
