I didnt see many empty seats, but there are always going to people who cant make it for whatever reason,
I am guessing that a volleyball ticket is for all day, so some may have gone0 -
Apparently the athletes etc have been given free tickets to almost everything. It's unlikely they'll all be used.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

You can't have been looking very hard then. Most of the Olympic !!!!!, and corporate !!!!!!!!!!s are out shopping in Harrods in their yellow BMWs.

That doesnt look like the volleyball stadium to me:(
It's the Aquatic Centre... according to The Daily Mail.0 -
Well it must be true if it's in the Daily Mail...
The ticket thing has been a debacle start to finish."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
The news has just done a feature on this subject and showed several shots of various stadiums (including the beach volleyball stands) with swathes of empty seating, so no, it wasn't just the aquatic centre as hinted at above“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

I was at the Greenwich Arena yesterday (for Gymnastics) and there were masses of empty seats. I was pleased to see that soldiers were invited to fill some of the empty rows...........but what a shame that people who wanted to buy tickets were disappointed.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the 'I wanna' and 'In my home' and Health & Beauty'' boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. At the Olympic Park, Basketball day return tickets are resold to those in the park for £5 each. However, 'officially' the other sports did not get returns so therefore did not have the same policy.
Is it believable that Handball, Hockey etc are all sold out?
I believe the tickets are for two match sessions and what can happen is some people come to watch their country only. If this is the first match then after they go, a number of empty seats are left behind.
Why is the system not sophisticated enough to allow these to be resold???
Also has anyone been to Wimbledon and comment on any day return ticket policy?
During Heather Watson's match tonight (check on Iplayer), Court 1 looked at least one quarter empty?
Being a British player, this is surely a disgrace?0 -
Does anyone know whether if there are empty seats at a venue you are at, you can move forwards into them?
We're off to the Paralympic swimming and are seated right up in the gods. Would be nice to be able to sit a bit closer if people don't show up to take their seats."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0
