moving a shed?

We have a big shed (maybe 2.4x 3m) that is in a silly spot (middle of the garden)

After a decking collapse and decision not to replace it, we are re-landscaping the garden and I am considering moving the shed. How easy would it be to move? or not easy at all? It is a wooden one, with solid (wooden) floor, looks like to be raised on bricks? Can we simply lift and move it? and would we have to make a hardstanding area rather than just grass?

Can you imagine how heavy that must be, if you were going to try and move it as it is in one piece you'd need to get all the neighbours in to help you lift it.
You're going to have to dismantle it, even then it's not going to be an easy job, wood maybe rotted; nails or bolts will be rusted.
    Good luck.

If its in useable condition offer it on freecycle. Sheds are popular. Whoever takes it will remove it for you.

I just sold my 8x6 on ebay for £87! AND I had the condition that the buyer dismantles and collects, happy days! Dont give it away for a freecycler to sell on!

Well, you have the true MSE answer.

    So moving on;
    Do you need a shed?
Do you need something more secure?

or do you simply need the space?

You mustn't sit a shed directly on earth, wood on ground is taboo.
Lay on slabs, sleepers or brick piers etc, so the air can get under to prevent rot
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

We once moved an 8x6 shed on a handoperated pallet trolley (only a foot or so though), and positioned on a few blocks of wood.

It is possible to move it to save money..I moved a large summerhouse about 50 metres with the help of 3 people and a trolley jack under one side only took about 10 minutes in all

It would need to be moved approx 20m, and up a step (sleeper height) so maybe moving it wouldn't happen! (I was thinking 4-6 strong people could just lift and carry, but I obviously underestimated the weight of a shed :o)
I'm not sure re selling it-it has had soil up the sides for a couple of years (although the wood looks ok, obviously it may be rotten underneath) but I suppose I could put it on freecycle. My only worry is it has the electricity supply to it, so that would need to be disconnected prior to moving.

You could try rolling it on round posts like this video.

If you decide to get rid of it I would still try selling it on ebay as I have seen plenty on there in a poor state selling for good money.
As for the electrics, it may or may not be easy to disconnect yourself depending on how it has been done.
