Samsung laptop recovery

My samsung laptop was giving me a lot of trouble recently, so I went and ran the recovery, and now I have lost all my important emails for work, but hey I thought they will be stored on my Virgin Media webmail.
Now I have found that they only have a few of the send ones, which are useless, and are random dates over the last few years.
Does anyone know how to retrieve documents or emails that have completely disappeared.....:mad:

You've lost them. Restore them from your back ups.

See if Virgin Media use IMAP protocol for email and if they do, set it up to use that instead. It retains the emails on the server and will sync them across multiple computers/devices.

Thanks, but it seems to be only the sent mail. Forgive me but how do I change the settings?????
