I had a look at July and thought I can do that too. So many good ideas...etc

So - I knew this thread was here somewhere - but I couldn't find you again. I thought it might be in the 'up your income' area.....but found it again in the end.

As a newbie do you think I could sit on the fence and go for £7.50 a day. [£10 sounds far too much - but then £5 sounds far too much]
I guess until you try - you just dont know what's possible
    arghhh!!!

£1.19 this morning in change from the students room, found it in the rubbish bin!! Fine by me :D

Had a rubbish morning so far, the ex told his ex to bring their kid round to my house at 8am, I had no idea so had a bit of a shock first thing. He's supposed to be having a day out with his children and decided my home would be the meeting place. Really annoyed as I haven't seen his child in a year so all very awkward. When ex finally arrives, I scuttle off to get LOs bag ready and he sees fit to look through my phone!! Went into my online banking which had my savings account up. He then starts a massive argument with me about how I've got so much money and starts pushing me around. Horrible horrible man. :(

What a cheeky mare!! :( Sorry to hear he is still giving you grief.
Thanks for asking after me:) Yes, things are a quite a bit better here. Whoever said money doesn't make you happy was lying! :rotfl: Becoming debtfree after my bingo win has really helped, mentally as much as financially.

Although ive not been checking in as much, ive still been doing the challenge and made target last month :T i see you smashed yours :money:wtg!!

    sorry he was an @r$e.

Big hugs :grouphug::grouphug: (I love that smiley - but it really should be called threesome.)

and treat yourself if you haven't got the kids - use the bundles of change from the students rooms to buy a face pack, and some chocolate or something.

    That seems sound advice Nimbo.

Just looked on the first page and I see you are down for £7.50 too. I need to find my calculator to work out what I have signed up for - 31 x 7.50 ....hmmm
    arghhh!!!
  • Hi, please put us down for £10 a day.

We had a go last January and February and did really, really well. However, effort has waned a bit since, and we slipped back into old ways so this thread should be incentive enough to reach that target again.

Hi there, I haven't done this challenge before but I'd love to give it a go. I think £5 as its my first time.

I need to get through until the end of this month before I start getting paid from my new job so I have even more incentive!! :)

Nat sorry your ex is a ***** (insert your own word in there) as an ex he has no right to be looking at your finances. Hope you feel better soon.

Moneyspider. Nice to see you. Glad you are well.

£60 to add for me for work done last month paid today so that gets me off the starting blocks. Need to pull my finger out this month as we are going away next week so I'll lose a couple of days. (but gain precious time with my lovely family :D)

  • Hi,
I'm new on here and signed up so I could take part in this challenge. I'm going to start with £5 per day and hope it will motivate me for more! Reading this thread and the one for July has really inspired me, so thank you everyone.

    So far I have

£45 saved from my phone contract
£10 in credit to my new sim card from T mobile
£5 from Halifax as my reward
& 15p I found while tidying my bedroom.

I have about £35 in my Paypal account - and I think that the parcel I have to send will cost about £5 to send so I'm not doing too badly....

However my 2pm appt for a textbook never happened. So that wasn't £3....
