Good Afternoon,
I want to pay in a cheque to my Natwest bank account. The cheque has my full name on, but a different address to the one my account is registered to. Will Natwest allow me to pay in the cheque?
Thanks

Why does the cheque have an address on, was this a previous address?
All you can do is present this at the bank. No reason as far as I can see why they should not accept this.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0 -
Yes - the address is of no relevance to the cheque only the payee's name is important.
They might ask of course why you are having a cheque posted to a separate address to the one you have registered with the bank but I am sure you will have an explanation.
(Could this be a HMRC cheque where the name and address is shown?)0 -

Yes, it is an HMRC Tax Rebate. I recently moved for work reasons, although I am only on a temporary contract duration unknown which is why I haven't informed my bank of my temporary address.
Thank you both for your help :money::cool:0 -
