im sure it was on here that someone pointed me in the right direction for the BEST help site for what benefits i may be entitled to. my brain being what it is these days, i cant remember what i was told. I need to point a friend in that direction.

I've used this to weigh up pros and cons of giving up work to concentrate on care. It's very easy to use and it stores your basic info so you can keep going back into it with different scenarios without starting all over again

many thanks. will pass that on to my friend. she has just been made redundant from a part time job. her husband can only work part time, and she has just been given carers allowance, for caring for her husband elderly relative, with whom they now live. she is wondering whether she can get anything on top. i would certainly think tax creds but unsure about the hours needed to be worked, in relation to what her husband actually works.0
