Barclays change of address

I have lived in my house for the past 4 years, and for the past 4 years i have been trying to change my address with barclays to my new address. (the previous address is my mams)

Anyways i dont get much mail from them as i only really use it as a savings type account for christmas, but its still going to my mams, do you think i should try yet again for them to change my address or should i just close the account?

Why are they having so much difficulty changing your address is what I'd be asking?

I hae no idea i have taken in various forms of I.D. and each time i`m told its all done now, and its not until a few months later when my mother gets a letter that i know its not.

It doesnt bother me much but my mam is hoping to retire soon and get rid of her house for something smaller, and i dont really want some randomer to get my mail, i could redirect my post but thats going to cost me. I think i`m going to have to just close the account.

My understanding of Barclays is that they need to change the residential address and correspondence address separately and one of these involves a pop up box which sometimes closes without submitting

So they may have your residential address recorded correctly and not the correspondence address
