Letter from Conran CC

Just had a letter from Conran saying sorry for them no longer working with MBNA.

They do say however that the card can continue to be used in accordance with the T&C until the expiry date?
This does not seem to agree with what MBNA said in their letter.

Can anybody shed any light on this? Martin?

It will become an ordinary MBNA card.

There are loads of posts on this already, and also was in the moneytips email the other week. I suggest you do a search for more information.

That is not what the letters say.

MBNA say they will issue their own card to Conran card holders and Conran say that the card can continue to be used in accordance with the T&Cs ubtil the expiry date.

Has nobody else either read the letters properly or spotted this contradiction.

I don't think this is a contradiction - I have interpreted the letters as:
- our current card with the Conran image will continue to work until the expiry date and will not be declined or blocked by MBNA.
- MBNA will issue a new card with their image on it that that should replace our Conran card
- both cards will continue to work until their expiry date, but without earning the benefit of any Conran profit sharing.
