Quick question re CB JSA and trial/temp posts

I wondered whether anyone knowledgable out there could answer a quick question for me?

I recently found myself claiming CB JSA after leaving my post under VERS terms due to a health condition which meant I was no longer able to carry out either the number of hours or the required travel. I am actively seeking employment and am well aware that I will probably have to take a huge drop in salary to be in a job that I am physically capable of doing.
Let me stress, I am capable of working, but I cannot travel long distances or work more than 25 hours in a week due to a health condition, and my advisor is aware and somewhat supportive.

It feels 'wrong' not to be working as I have always worked and I also dont believe it sets a good example to my children.

That said, I have the potential of a job in the next few days which I think might be suitable. My question is, as this job is on a trial basis and I believe I would have to 'sign off' to take it, what happens if either I find I am not actually able to do it, or the employer finds me unsuitable? Would I be able to sign on again and continue to claim CB JSA or would I be banned? I am only entitled to CB JSA as OH has a well paid job but, having worked for over 20 years, I dont know the rules.

Got an interview tomorrow but not due to see advisor until Thursday so hope to have some answers in advance through this forum.

In addition to your rights to leave due to health problems, if the job is unsupportable, in some cases you have the right to leave for no reason.
