Going back to work - need advice

Been to an interview and i think i have got myself a job. It is a desk job 37 hrs/week which is ideal for me due to my disability.
I have 3 children aged 16 and under and are in full time education. I am a lone parent and claim disability allowance.
Just need help with the following questions. Have done a search and found answers but need someone to confirm it.
1. I can claim working tax credit if i work more than 16 hours a week and earn less than £26,000 a year?
2. My child tax credit will be reduced due to my income.
3. I will start paying my council tax minus discount for being disabled and being the only adult in the house. If i am receiving CTC will it affect my council tax?
4. Will have to inform JSA about my employment. Will they inform council tax automatically or do i have to inform them myself?
5. As with other jobs there is a 6 month probabtion period. If they are happy with my performance then the job is mine. If for some reason they are unhappy with my performance (i do not have typing skills etc) do i go back onto JSA where i left off or do i have to refill the forms?
That is all i can think of. Would be grateful for any additional advice

well done on getting the job, sorry don't know the answers to the questions, but just want to wish you good luck...I would say for question 5 though that it would not be automatic, you would need to inform job centre....also is it really 6 months? most jobs I know of are 3 months, I am completing my 3 months Monday, fingers crossed you won't need to know the answer to question 5.0

Thanks. Just need a job to improve my life. It has been bad to my health being stuck at home looking after the kids whom i adore. Have always worked since leaving uni but when my wife left us 9 yrs ago i had to quit work to look after the babies. Not easy for someone who loves work.Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problemsWell at least i learn something on the way

1. I can claim working tax credit if i work more than 16 hours a week and earn less than £26,000 a year? That's what I've heard too.
2. My child tax credit will be reduced due to my income. Possibly not the first year sometimes they allow a raise in income of up to £10,000pa and then it kicks in but do check
3. I will start paying my council tax minus discount for being disabled and being the only adult in the house. If i am receiving CTC will it affect my council tax? No
4. Will have to inform JSA about my employment. Will they inform council tax automatically or do i have to inform them myself? The DWP do talk to each other so the council may find out themselves but it is your responsibility to tell the council when you start a job or preferably before.

If for some reason they are unhappy with my performance (i do not have typing skills etc) do i go back onto JSA where i left off or do i have to refill the forms? Refill all the forms, if ever the DWP just want to re-open a claim they do it from there anyway.

Well done on getting a job. Not easy in this current climate. I think PippaGirl has answered your questions, but I just wanted to add... I believe there is a back to work bonus. Contact JCP regarding this http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/Employedorlookingforwork/DG_10018789also, if you need "work clothing" couple of shirts and a pair of trousers, JCP have funding available for that too. HB and CTB should "run on" for 4 weeks until you get paid.
Should you have any need for additional aids (to help you with your job) or assistance with travel, then check out access to work. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeople/Employmentsupport/WorkSchemesAndProgrammes/DG_4000347
