Hi all, just thought we could start a thread on anything cheap and cheerful to keep kids entertained through hols. Mine are 6, 5 and 2, thought I'd start us off with one.
The other day me and the kids made tortilla dough from this recipe
http://pennypantry.com/in-the-kitchen/recipes-in-the-kitchen/basic-tortilla-recipe-using-basic-pantry-ingredients/
the kids then rolled out their own and I fried them off for them in turn. We then got them all on the table and I put out bowls of cheese, ham, cucumber, salad you get the idea whatever they like and then they got the fill their own tortillas, they absolutley loved it, and even the youngest who is a bit averse to salad polished hers off.
Thought this would be a good one to do on the days the weathers a bit pants and you don't want them staring at the telly all day. Obviously if you have older kids they could also help with preparing the fillings etc.
