I would like to know this one too - going there Tuesday and my favourite pastime is collecting as many freebies as I can! Also going for furniture this time though so hoping for some extras.

  • we got nothing this year - thought it was the most disappointing IHS we have ever been to. Even the show houses are not worth queueing for!

Dont forget to pick up a voucher booklet cos there are loads of vouchers in there that you can use for shopping eg I just used over £2worth in Tescos.
  • Hiya, usually if you buy the show guide, you can claim a goodie bag. Often full of samples and leaflets.

OK, so I know it is not technically a freebie.

I agree, it was my first time to the ideal home show and i was very disappointed also. I was expecting to come home with pens/samples but no one was giving out a thing. Got the mail paper on the way in, got the vocher booklet which i have used a few vouchers from, and not sure if they are giving out still but get the fairy active burst dishwasher sample, its got a voucher on the back for 3.49 off any pack, went to sainsburys a few days ago (tesco have the offer) and 30s fairy active bursts from 6.xx down to 4.52 so pay 1 pound for the pack. Other than that saw Ainsley doing a cooking demo - but i am sure it was fixed (got someone from the audience) i could not watch, my mum liked it though. And tasted cheese from the 2 stands there.
  • hi peps ,

 Yes we went Yesterday (friday) and it was very disapointing no real amazing new gadets or real discounts/bargains ..freebies were at a all time low,Even the lovely food stands from all the world with olives and bread an cheese's and wine, whiskeys etc where very far and few ...I could beleive how empty the place was , for a Friday ....I used to look forward to going it used to be a very good Day out having walked your legs off and spent way too much... Most unfortunaly I will not going for a few Years if that .:(

I went last night using the free tickets from the link someone kindly posted. I had never been before, so wasn't sure what to expect, but no freebies. Agree with the voucher booklet at the beginning though.

I got collared by an n power rep, if you sign up you get one of those energy saving gadgets that was on Dragon's Den earlier this week (you lug your tv in it and if it is on stand by for more than five mins, it switches it off automatically) apparently worth £30 and, wait for it....a free ORB! I was cheeky and asked for more and he gave me four. I am giving these to family and friends, so please don't PM me. I will call them and tell them Ive changed my mind today - a pretty good freebie for the ten mins it takes to sort out.
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o
