Mortgage referral

Greetings, me and my partner have had an offer accepted for a house (£69000) and are looking to get a mortgage with natwest for (£61200).
We saw the Natwest advisor today who has referred our application to the underwriters due to our situation.
My Gf earns £16200 per year as a nurse
I am on a 0 hour contract as a porter and have worked as one for 6 months. The contract is permanent but with no set hours. I earn decent money per month (minimum £525 maximum £985) and have bank statements and wage slips to show this.
The mortgage would have repayments of £279 for 5 years.
Basically what are our chances of the underwriter confirming the mortgage?
Thanks

With a loan to value/income combination like yours I'm not surprised at the referral. Your adviser had nothing to do with the referral, by the way. The NatWest system would refer it for an underwriter's attention automatically.
Is your partner part-time? £16k seems low for a full time nurse professional.
You'll have to wait for an answer TBH. We have no way of second guessing an underwriter.I am a mortgage broker. She is a health care assistant not a fully qualified nurse but it is full-time.
I thought we would have to wait just wondered if anyone had any ideas based on experience etc

If either of you bank with Natwest, you have half a chance.
If not, I do not fancy your chances. Do not despair though, there is likely to be a highstreet bank that will lend..

She does. We have been offered an exclusive mortgage because of this.
I am with Co-op but their rate isn't as good as Natwest.

Then I suspect they will not be including your income at all, and trying to get it through in joint names on sole income.
I appreciate this may not be the case here, but remember the best rates are only the best if you can achieve them
Co-Op will not like your income details either..
All the bestI am a Mortgage Broker
