What plants are these?
I was given some seed pods from lovely yellow flowers that were spreading like mad. I was told they are African Marigolds but the flowers I saw the pods taken from were not the same African Marigolds I found on the www. Does anyone know what these are?

Not far off they're pot marigolds (calendula) rather than african marigolds.0

The bees are gonna love you, great flowers - sow a few in pots too, as the name suggests, so you can fill some gaps with themYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0

.......And you can put the petals in your salad to make it look pretty.

sadly I left them too long before planting and now they're dried out. Is it still worth me planting the dry pods or shall I go and get some more like in the pic?Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!

The dry pods are what you'd get if you bought some! The cluster should now break up into individual crescent shaped seeds.
I don't think they go dormant, so dry is fine.0 -
that's a relief, I have several handfuls of dried pods!
