Looks like it's part of it. But instead of asking opinions, why not contact the seller and get facts?

Few kitchen places near you that will make you a worktop to fit.

Failing that Telford or Chesterfield. I used to goto places that made those types of tops all day everyday.

Fascinating to watch them turn wooden slats into worktops. Shaping, Sanding and oiling etc.

A business seller by law has no accept returns and the seller is registered as a business. If you bought the item less than 7 days ago you can return the item under your rights enshrined in the Distance Selling Regulations. It doesn't matter if the seller says they don't accept returns, they legally have to. However, saying this, I'm not sure if the DSRs apply to items collected in person? Perhaps someone could clarify?

If I sell items using stock pictures I always state if anything within the picture is not included as otherwise it can be misleading. An experienced kitchen seller may know chopping boards aren't necessarily included but a consumer may go by the picture.

I would have said it did, its clearly part of the unit and therefore should be included.

    Return it for a refund

What B&Q say regarding this unit is irrelevant in regards this seller. If the seller says it doesn't come with it then, it doesn't come with it.

The seller does say corner unit with revolving carousel. There is no mention of the worktop and if you were in any doubt, you should have asked first.

So did you buy it from this seller or from B&Q?

What about the potatoes, cabbage, and knife? ;)

The description is pretty limited, but it doesn't mention the board at all, only the unit.
Hopefully though if it's within 7 days of purchase they'll accept returns.

ETA - You could suggest that they are being missleading though, with the reference to this item selling for £375, as the B&Q one selling for £375 has the chopping board included.

Even though you bought a collection item, you still get a reasonable period of time to inspect it at home, and they are still subject to the DSRs as the contract was formed at a distance.

What people forget sometimes is that the contract/agreement to purchase is the important part, not pick-up. It's obviously to guard people who can't inspect it properly at the time and reject the items, because of a need for assembly or the seller putting undue pressure on them to take it away or not providing the necessary equipment to test something. Also, arguably, you form the contract and should honour it, then inspect what you have bought.

Misleading...not so sure. Just because a price-match fails, doesn't necessarily mean the sale is misleading. There is a big discrepancy between prices of Epson ink between Amazon and many other independent sites, but it doesn't mean those other sites are being disingenuous because they have to charge £5 more than Amazon.
