Apologies if this is the wrong place, but I was wondering if anyone could reccomend me any good links for app creation? I was thinking of making an app but I don't really know much about the subject as a whole

That's not what I really meant. 'App' is a pretty vague term, it's short for application which is just a software program. What do you want the software to run on, mobile phone, PC, television, interplanetary spacecraft?0

ah! sorry, I get what you mean, sorry I forgot to specify! that will teach me to stay up late anyway, I was ideally thinking a phone app, (for sake of portability, say to keep them amused on car journeys) though interplanetary spacecraft has merit

If you have no programming experience you could give Appinventor a go, you put together apps by using premade components0

first off you need to learn java, so get a book to learn that, id say do core java for 6 months.
then download the android sdk learn that for 6 months.
all this can be learnt in a couple of hours a day every day depending on learing speed
then start making your app.
you will also need to learn some graphic design or get a designer0
