Best Mattress Brand?

I've been to try out some mattresses today and after looking at a few I've now realised that my preference is for the following...
- Pocket Sprung
- Firm Feel
- NO Memory Foam

So I'm looking for a double mattress of the above and I'm pretty stuck on what brands to be looking at. Can anyone tell me what brand(s) of mattresses are regarded as the "best"?

I am looking at buying online as its so much cheaper but I'll definitely try a few more out before buying.

That all very much depends on what you are looking for, the best value for money or just the very best.

How much are you planning on spending, you can spend a fortune on a mattress if you really want, Vi-Sprung, Hypnos and a few others are very top end.

Sealy are part of the Silentnight group and make ok mattresses but expensive for what they are.

You questions is too open ended.

They are over 100 companies making mattress in the UK.

Vi-sprung are awesome I have stopped at a. Couple of boutique hotels that had them, but they are pricey, even with a relatives discount a super king mattress was coming in at over 8k.

Also cloud9 from the states are v good.
  • I have the exact same preferences and it took me months on mattress shopping to find the right one for me - sleepeezee is the brand. I choose 2000 pocket sprung, extra firm. Bliss! Bargain too... £250 in a half price end-of-line sale and delivered in 20 minutes, they even took me home in their van. 3 Years later - mattress is still going strong, no squeeks, no sagging, absolutely spot on.
  • I agree with Sealy as well. I've had my Sealy Posturepedic mattress for several years. It still looks and feels like new.
