unreclaimed WTC

I have been expecting a letter from WTC for almost two years - to reclaim almost £1800 that they claim to have overpaid me by - but nothing has arrived ....
They went to the bother of summonsing me to court to claim their money back (I had queried the amount - which obviously annoyed them) - I agreed to "shut them up"

Is there a cut off time - after which I can refuse to pay them back - due to excessive delay ?

Comments

  • No, there is not. They can only pursue you through the courts for six years, but after that they can deduct the overpayment from any new award.

If you know that you owe the money, give them a call and make a repayment arrangement.
