Marbles Card PPI claim

Hello all, this is just a bit of a heads up with regards to claiming PPI on a Marbles card.

I have a Marbles card from approx 2004 and have over the last 18 months or so tried to claim back the PPI, the main problem appeared to be that it was once owned by HFC then sold to Halifax BOS.

After many phone calls etc I have finally sussed out what you need to do with regards to the claim.

Your initial complaint has to go through the Halifax claim procedure, they then pass the claim to HFC for their portion of the PPI payments.

My claim for the portion of the PPI to HFC has been rejected, however it appears that the claim is then passed back to Halifax for them to deal with their liability.

After many phone calls to Halifax and always getting an overseas call centre, I finally got a phone number for the dedicated team regarding Marbles / Halifax claims, although I don't know if my claim will be upheld I can't praise the people on the other end of the line high enough.

If anyone is having problems with a Marbles claim please feel free to PM me and I will give you the number, I don't really want to publicise it here.

  • Hi Could you please give me the contact number for Marbles/Halifax CC PPI.

Have had a rejection letter saying that I opted in but cannot provide a copy of the agreement as they do notkeep them after 6 yrs! The card is still running so they should have a copy of my agreement shouldnt they?

Any help would be appreciated as I am going to the ombudsman now!

    Many thanks

If all you have done is request that they send you the agreement, then you haven't followed the procedure and cannot go to the Ombudsman yet.
If you feel you have valid complaint reasons then complain stating these. It's only if the Bank reject these reasons that you can go to FOS

  • I originally sent them the ombudsman questionnaire and their first letter stated that I did not have PPI cover! Phoned them and told them that I was paying £47 per month repayments cover! Idiots! Then got second letter with reasons for refusal! If their letter states "final response" should I write back to them and disagree or go straight to the Ombudsman?

    Thanks for replying!
