halifax new overdraft charges

got a leaflet this morning from Halifax/ bank of scotland about overdraft charges.
Obviously as you know the rate is £1 per day at the moment and this leaflet isnt that clear to me.
are they doing away with the £1 rate?

the following says they have a £10 buffer,
" ive gone £10 0verdrawn - there are no fees - £10

I've gone £10 overdrawn-the buffer is activated- £0

ive only used a planned overdraft but i have exceeded my agreed interest and fee free amount and £10 buffer for 2 months
(you'll pay 2 x £6 monthly overdraft usage fees and intereston any money borrowed beyond the interest and fee free amount - £12 plus interest

ive used a planned overdraft and exceeding my agreed interest and fee free amount and have also used a £15 unplanned overdraft for 2 days - youll pay 1 x £6 monthly overdraft usage fee and 2 x £5 unplanned overdraft daily fees - £16 plus interest

really my question is that are the £1 fees stopping??i dont think the leaflet is that clear

Well you've confused the hell out of me!

The £1 fees are not being scrapped for Halifax.

There is a change coming where the £2 fee kicks in at a lower level and a new £3 fee is being introduced on larger overdrafts.

Is yours a Bank of Scotland account?
