Should indicators beep when using towbar & light board
Options
Had tow bar fitted for bike rack a few months ago.
Used with bikek rack & light board for first time yesterday.
Each time I used the indicators there was a loud beeping sound from back of car - is this normal?
Wasn't mentioned when I got it, but thought I'd ask on here first to avoid sounding like a fool at the shop
Thanks

Yep, that's what it's supposed to do. The beeping tells you that the trailer or light board indicators are actually working.0

Time to worry is when you don't hear the extra bleep when you've got something connected to the towbar electrics. That means something's not working."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". So what tells you the beepers are working?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

the fact they beep:p
IIRC the beepers are such simple devices that they rarely go wrong, and it's almost always a wiring or connection fault and as part of the extended diagnostics* to find a fault you'll probably do a continuity test anyway which will show if the beeper if at fault.
*After checking the bulb, and the plug/sockets are actually pushed tight.0 -

Well, I tend to find a sudden silence from the backseat drivers, or kids tends to indicate a faulty ear:p0
