Hi there, anyone else got a similar car? we have just had a letter from the original dealership of the car asking us to take it to a local citroen dealership to carry out a 'campaign which is considered essentail and should be carried out as soon as possible and free of charge'

Has anyone else had a letter like this? It is written in such a way that I can not tell if it is a genuine safety recall by citroen or a very shifty marketing ploy to get us to take the car to the dealer and get a 'free' check, only to find it needs......sharp intake of mechanics breath.....lots of work doing at our cost!

I will also ring the garage, but if there telephone advice is as clear as the letter I will be none the wiser!

we have a 2003 picasso and not received anything. best to call the garage and ask what the campaign is about. if its a safety recall then usually such letter will be titled "safety recall" and detail the problem. Also call another garage just to check its not a manufacturer recall.
