The whole point was to stop it showing up on my credit file to begin with. If it shows up as a missed payment then who cares about a lousy £12 at that point? Now I'm depressed.
For anyone who knows the real answer... I sent the full amount via LTSB to Barclaycard @ 23:40 on Friday, I was told by the representative that it has gone through and Barclaycard 'has' received it. Now I'm being told here that they probably didn’t and it will be written off as a missed payment.0 -
I can't offer any advice but after reading all the posts in this thread, I got confused too! Just want to say that you have made your payment already, so there is nothing else you can do, so just wait and see! fingers crossed for you!!0

I see that you have already made payment, however for anyone else looking for this information my understanding from the information given on Barclaycard statements is that if you bank with Barclays you can pay by telephone banking or online on the due date and it will still be credited that day. It also states that payment can be made in a Barclays branch on the due date.
When I have made payments from my own (non-Barclays) current account the faster payment has always been credited on the same day, notwithstanding that my online banking advises that "the recipient bank will process payment on the following working day".

I've looked in to this. As Lloyds and Barclaycard are using the fast payment service it will reach Barclaycard on Monday.0

Hopefully your FP will be allocated in time to prevent it registering as a late payment.
I would be inclined to agree with DevilPigeon's view way back in post #2. The advantage of ringing Barclaycard is that the responsibility for taking the payment then lies with them, and they should date it that day, even if the payment doesn't reach them until later. Looking at my Barclaycard statement, which has a payment due date of 30 July, it says:
By phone...(to Barclaycard)...by 30 July. Pay through your own bank's service by 25 July.
Of course, if you think this might happen again then your best option is to set up a minimum payment DD, then you will never again have to worry about a late payment marker.0 -

I agree that it's likely sending one now would "officially" arrive the same time it did if you sent it Monday, but if there does end up being a problem, sending the payment on Friday - or now Saturday - makes them look better to the agent who then decides whether they should refund any late/default fees.
Because it was too late for a faster payment to get into the destination account the same day. It would not be there till Monday anyway.0
