New eBay item developed fault after a month

I bought a 'new' wireless Logitech headset on eBay for 50£. Unfortunately it developed a fault after just over a month of use. I've googled the issue and it seems it is a fairly common problem with this particular product. I bought the item from what i think is a private seller on eBay. I paid via PayPal (using MasterCard). I'm now outside PayPal's 45 day limit for making a claim. I've checked the warranty papers and they state the warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and is not transferable.
I'm not saying the seller sold me a faulty item, but i am of course rather annoyed that a 'new' item has broken so soon. Can anyone advise me as to my rights in this case?
Many thanks!

do you have a proof of purchase?
Logitech would need to see it, if you have it you might be covered. If not, have you checked if the buyer is a company? do they trade in logitech products alot or one off?
Logitech usually are very good with warranty repairs/replacements...0 -

I do have my PayPal receipt, but that is of course not the original receipt as the seller must himself have bought it from somewhere previously.
The seller has sold 2 or 3 of the same headsets (and a few other Logitech products), but only has a feedback rating of 263 so i'm guessing he's a private seller.0 -
Logitech are very good with warranty but they do require a scan of the original receipt, having gone through there warranty service myself recently0

If it was a private seller, you have no rights.0

Ask the seller if he still has the original receipt, he may be able to forward it on.0

As the OP correctly says, Logitech only provide their warranty to the original purchaser

OP bought a second hand item, albeit described as new according to ebay's definition, from a private seller.
As mattyprice4004 says, OP has no rights in this case.0 -
ok, thanks everyone. I will ask the seller if he has the original receipt, otherwise will try my PayPal one - worth a try i guess. Lesson learned: don't buy second-hand 'new' electronic items on eBay!0
