VW service plan

Options
Hi all,

Advice needed! I purchased my VW Golf in September 2010, and since then I have been shelling out for 12 monthly services, a minor in 2011 (£139) and a major last month (£279). Just now I have been looking through my piles of paperwork and have discovered I have been on a 24 month service plan with VW all along (due to expire 09/2012)! which would have covered all service charges.

Would like to know if I'm within my rights to request a refund on the past service fees. The VW dealership I have visited for both services is where I made the orginal purchase of both car.....and service plan. Any advice would be much appriciated!

I would think it's some sort of oversight, and I would speak to the service manager, if you don't get any joy you could take it up with VW Customer Service. Normally these things are just done on the computer and your vehicle's record, I know I got a 3 yr/30000 mile service schedule included with my Solution's plan, I wasn't given anything officially, but the salesperson did give me a copy of something as proof if I needed to take it to another dealer.

    Hope this helps.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

It seems like a !!!! up has been made somewhere along the line. When I bought my Golf in January 2011 it came with the two year service plan. When the first service came due the dealer had all teh relevant details on the computer system. I would speak to the dealer first and try and resolve it with them first. if you have the paperwork that shows you had the service plan included they should be able to sort it out.

  • Thanks for the advice. They did ask me on both occasions whether I paid for my services or not, and as I didn't know any better said yes! As you mentioned, I am suprised it didn't show up on the system as all my details where available to them.
I do have proof of the service plan so will pay them a visit.

    Thanks again for replies
