because I am agreeing with you but also giving the OP an option as she asked for of what will happen if she doesnt get the holidays, you told for to forget about the 2 days she lost:eek: at least I told her to get the money back.

Unless you have a time machine then if the 20 days turn out like the 2 days and she doesnt get them, saying "it's the law "will not help.

Why you need to prove me wrong when we are agreeing, I'm surprised I was only snippy with you :rotfl:
the OP wont get the money back if they take two weeks sick as suggested, yes?

They may just end up with a disciplinary or just SSP!!

They will have to pay you if they don't allow you the holidays

It is against the law to pay you for UNtaken holidays they have to allow you to take them so can you tell us where you get this from?

The problem is they don't have to pay you and there is nothing you can do about it.

The right you can exercise is the one to take the holiday, there is no right to get them bought out(paid).

If you believe otherwise please explain how you enforce the payment of holiday pay for untaken days.

please keep up, I said I was working on the premise the OP was correct they would not get the holidays, which in that case they could ask for payment for them or sue for not getting them, which all is possible, saying they have to have them is all well and good but doesnt help the OP after the events unless you have a time machine.

please tell me how the OP can take holidays if her boss doesn't allow it?

They can sue for unfair treatment etc more chance of that them waiting for someone to make a time machine.

No you need to tell us how going off sick gets your two weeks holiday pay? you said the op should do this

You ask the company when they would let you take them and they have to come back with some dates or its obvious that they are trying to block holiday. If dates are given then you try to book and they are declined but others are then still allowed to take holiday you then put in a greivence, yes?
