GMail now offers 2GB of storage space (double it's previous offering). All users old and new get the extra space.
The space is currently being added (MB by MB) - it's currently 1414MB (and counting) and makes for quite funny viewing on both the main page (https://www.gmail.com) and when you log-in.

Gmail is great for email, very happy since i started using it. Even better now with 2GB storage, although i'm only using around 5mb, could come in handy to dump some stuff there in the future :-)0 -
Does anybody want an invite, by the way? Got some spare ones.0

Yahoo have just upped their storage from 250mb to a gig - All good news for users though more than I will ever need probably it's nice to know it won't get filled up.0

I also hadn't realised that you can check your GMail account via whatever POP-based (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc, etc, etc) you use for your 'normal' emails.
Details here.0 -
Lots of gmail stuff here
I'm thinking about trying gmail drive now but I wonder if gmail will block it if people start using them just for storage and they can't collect keywords to advertise0 -

I have heard of people being blocked for doing that. Still, it was a relatively small amount of people in comparison to the actual number of them using gdrive, and nothing stops you from opening another (secondary) account just for that purpose. Do put different registration details, though0
