Argos False Advertising

There's a Bush TV advertised in the new Argos book and underneath it says i can get a matching blu-ray player for £29.99 and gives the item number.

However, it is actually a DVD player!

Isn't this false advertising? If so do they have to sell me a blu-ray player for that price?

if the item number is for the DVD player then you have no hope, as you cannot ascertain which 'matching' item they claim they well 'sell' you - IF however the photo IS of a Blu-ray player you could always take the pic in and ask, nicely, to purchase that item for £29.99. They are quite within their rights to refuse to sell and will have broken no law. But you might get lucky. I doubt it, though.

It will most probably be a mistake in the wording. There will be thousands in every book. It most definitely is not false advertising.

It is not false advertising, it is just a mistake.

Inform them of their mistake to prevent someone not as observant as yourself buying it thinking they get a BR player.
