Help me claim from abroad!?!

Just got wind of this over here in the USA. I am now a non resident of the U.K, been living in U.S for 4 years, still have a Halifax account which I pay in to! Is there any special circumstances or facts I have to take into consideration before starting out on claiming unfair bank charges, being in the U.S and all?

In 2000/2001/2002 I lived in both Scotland and England and transfered authority of account to branches in each city I lived in...if I go ahead, where would I file court proceedings?

Thank you for any help you can offer. This does sound like exciting stuff...

(Power to the guy who sent in the Sheriff Officers to his local branch...major payback!!!!)
