Creating a DVD - I AM STUCK

OK take it easy with me cos it's the first time I've tried to do this !!

Have connected digital vid camer to PC using USB cable. Used Image Mixer to copy contents of tape onto PC. It has saved it as a .imv file. Is this correct ?

What I want to do next is to get the contents of this file onto a DVD to give to someone as a present but cannot find how to do it.

Am I going the right way about this or can somebody PLEASE tell me what I do need to be doing.

Best way is to output the video to an MPEG file.

Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 is superb for this, ideally you should connect via Firewire from the digital out on the camcorder. This software does it all for you in only a few clicks of the mouse and will burn direct to DVD.
