Scottish Power have offered me the chance to cap gas and electricity prices, for £2.50 a month until May 2007, is it worth it?

Hi
After reading several threads on this site it would seem that Scottish Power are one of the highest charging suppliers in the market.
Have you tried using https://www.uswitch.com or any of the other Utlities comparison sites?
You might find it'll be cheaper to switch than to pay a premium for guarenteed price cap ?

I did the calculations with Uswitch and Scottish Power still came out the cheapest. Not going to bother capping, will take a chance that prices wont go up too much in the next 2 years.0
