My husband has recently checked his credit report as we are applying for a mortgage. However, he saw he had a default against an old Natwest account. He rang them and after speaking to 8 different people, they agreed that the default should not be there and it was their error.
This default has been on his credit report for 2 years. They have offered £30 compensation. Obviously i would like to know if there is anything we can do as this has stopped my husband getting credit and we now have to wait a month before we can apply for a mortgage!
As you can imagine we are both very annoyed about this!
