For the past 8 years, i've been maintaining the website for a charity - standard html / dreamweaver template stuff.
In the last 12 months, the charity is more and more things put on their site - whilst my free time (i do this as a volunteer) is decreasing.
None of the people who supply the updates are HTML proficient, so my solution here is to transfer the site onto a CMS based system and let them do their updates without knowing HTML.
What i'm looking for is a good web host, preferably UK based, that hosts Joomla - even better if they offer a discount for a registered charity. My current host does not offer Joomla.
Any suggestions / recommendations?

Vidahost are great, offer Joomla on a one-click install and are less than £20 for the year.

The owner is actually a Joomla wizz. There are some issues with Joomla at the moment with regards to malware and database problems.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -
Skymarket.co.uk or heart internet also do low proced hosting using linux servers and MySQL ideally suited for Joomla based websites.0
