Hi I buy fresh fruit twice a week to go in my porridge and I have a fresh fruit salad about 5 times a week but last week while in Morrison I bought their Blackforest Frozen Fruit Mix 500g for £1.99 so today I added some to my porridge after defrosting and I must admit it was delicious so my question is could anyone recommend any other frozen fruits and maybe the best place to buy them. Thanks
My husband doesn't defrost first, he just puts them in his porridge when it is cooked and they defrost by the time it has cooled down slightly.Money SPENDING Expert0 -

Snap! I pop frozen raspberries in my porridge, leave a minute or two and it's perfect for eating. I buy mine from Aldi - £1.39 for a 300g pack. If I see fresh ones at a reasonable price on the market I freeze those too."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

I agree try and get some fresh berries when they are reduced and freeze them yourself, especially if you are fussy over the type of fruit you like. I really enjoy fruit but agree that some frozen stuff is vile.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

another option if you simply want something to go in porridge is apple sauce. I always add cinnamon and sultanas too, it's lovely (although you may need to experiment with brands - some are much sweeter than others.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

I think Lidls frozen fruit is 1.49. They do a black or red berry version. I am adicted. Pour 2 jellies straight over the top of the frozen fruit, still in the tub, and it is set in about 40 mins. Had the black one for pud this eve with evap. Mmmmm. Beats the M&S fruit and jelly terrine imo0

I love Sainsburys frozen mango but it's a bit pricey (more than their fresh mango I think) so I don't tend to buy it very often. Their basics frozen berry mix is good too.0
