Cheap flight to New Zealand in August?

Penny_Farthing_2

Hi
My DH and I have been humming and hahing for 4 yrs or so about emigrating to NZ. I was lucky enough to get a look-see via a work related trip. Now it's his turn. Does anyone have any ideas about how he can get there most cheaply?(no raft-building suggestions, please!) Neither of us have much idea about how booking flights etc works. Is it better to go for a last minute thing as August is winter in NZ?

Hi

I went a few years ago and the cheapest flights by far were to fly with Garuda Indonesia - this was Manchester > Bangkok > Bali (with overnight stay) > Brisbane > Aukland

I think they only go from London Heathrow not though

Hi

Any plane can crash... and I knew at the time I flew with them that I was exposing myself to a slightly higher risk with Guaruda. The thing is, every time you fly you expose yourself to a very small risk no matter who the provider is.

Besides the OP asked for the cheapest. Having actually flown with Guaruda I can say that the service was very good with a faultless flight.
