Cost of 'extension'?!

Morning all,

Am looking at the following house in Dartford, Kent, but would like to know a rough idea as to how much it would cost to 'extend' just on the top floor (as per far left house in the picture) or otherwise how much to do a double extension (as per house to the right as you look at picture).

well... this can be very regional depending on the cost of materials in your area,

as a QS we tend to use the rough value of £1350 per m2 of affected floor space. in this instance it would be the area under any roof adjustments)

bear in mind there are regional fluctiuations and indecies to change but its a ball park area. and would depend on the level of finish you require.

so i would expect it to come in around 30-45k including finishing touches (carpets etc)
