I have read a lot about privet company sending out fines that we should all ignore, but my parking blunder is slightly different. I paid £2.30 to park in a car park in Southampton, and used only 30 mins of the 2 hours that i had paid for, but the ticket said that i had parked in a reserved bay, i wouldnt have deliberately parked there so was sure the signs were unclear, but i went back today and the signs were there and visible. I then emailed them and they asked for my name and address which i gave them, this was before my husband did the research on Parking Eye..........
Do i still ignore the letters or pay????

Ignore. Just like Mrs theHibby has 3 times. You paid so you owe them nothing.0

Yes ignore.
Pity you gave them your name and address cos that's just saved them paying the DVLA £2.50 for it. Never mind.0 -
Your situation is no different so ignore. For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
Private parking companies don't "send out fines". They send out speculative invoices. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Your case is no different - there are LOADS of threads about people who were duped into thinking they could 'appeal' one of these scam fake tickets but are now happily ignoring the letter-chain that follows. And why on earth would anyone PAY?? :rotfl:
You are not liable to pay and you must not 'appeal' any more either (think about it...as if!!!). This is a private company with an unsolicited invoice, dressed up to impersonate a parking ticket.

Please follow and read those links, now, so you know what it's all about and can just play a nice game of snap with the template threatogram letters.
Nothing else will happen, it really is just like deleting a series of phishing emails.
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
