Does anyone know if you are allowed to give away bottles of bubbly as a prize (not to be drunk on the premises) without an alcohol license? If not are there any loopholes to giving away free bottles of bubbly?

I think that you need a licence to sell alcohol not to give it away. The licencing is now done by the local authority and not the police (as it used to be) and I havent a clue as to where you could get such information now, sorry.
