Is eBay the best option?

Hi.
I have a lot of CDs and DVDs in good condition that i wanted to sell, as i am planning on moving away. Can anyone advise me whether it is best to sell them on eBay, or to go to a boot sale or a second hand shop or the like?
I am unsure that i would get the best value on eBay, and as there is a lot, it would be a real pain to have to list them all individually and mail them. It must be around 1000 in total.
Thanks in advance,
Andi.

Do some research. Only you know what CDs and DVDs you have (as you won't want to list them here either). Check to see what prices they've sold for on ebay, individually, or on collectors sites, and if you don't think it's worth selling them on the site, contact a local secondhand shop & see how much they'll give you for them. If you aren't happy with either time time you'd have to spend, and/or the amount you'd get for them, try a car boot sale, and if they don't sell there, give them to a charity shop.

eBay is never the best option, people use it because its the only option
I would personally try a car boot, or somewhere like Cash Convertors if u have one near you0 -
you could try and see how much they are going for on amazon......that way you could list them for free... ok the fees are a bit steep.....
but at least you only pay if they sell......check out the amazon thread and read the first page or so.... this will give you all the info..
might help you decide which is you best option......

There should be a publication of some sort giving you values of old CD's. You can easily get values from books on vinyls.FREEDOM IS NOT FREE0

Or if they are not that saleable list them on https://www.eswapnow.com and then you can use the credits to renew your selection.Oh dear, here we go again.0

Ah hun, it's not really a Harley, just an FXR frame with a 96" S&S block with edelbrock heads, kwiksilver dual carbs, and an uprated clutch to handle all that extra power. IM me your email addy & I'll send you a piccy.

ebay is good for buyers but not for sellers as loads of competition and high fees, but homework titles of your collection and see what is selling on ebay with high numbers of bidders. Those titles list on ebay.
Check the link
http://auction1.co.uk/cgi-bin/auction/auction.pl
put most of your titles on completly free.
Also while lisitng you can build your auctions if using buy it now on excel to list on froggle, also free.
You can put a direct link on all ebay auctions you host to froggle which is not breaking ebay rules, this then will divert buyers from your auctions to all the cds you have for sale without the risk of paying the large ebay fees and not selling them.
If froggle is not something you want then build a blog with links to your free auctions- works like a store on ebay but without the fees.
Finally all scans/photos put onto photobucket.com with links for people to see pictures of your catalogue, also easier to put pictures of auction1 by direct link as you can sell similar doing it this way.0
