euro car parks

please help, I parked in a child bay, without a child. I went to collect my niece from inside the supermarket to take her with me while her parent was shopping, when I returned back to the car I noticed a parking notice on my car, stating that there was no child present, I tried to look for the attendant to explain, but couldnt find him. It is saying that I have to pay a fine of £50 or £30 if I pay in fourteen days, do I ignore or appeal?

Just ignore. It's not a FINE and P&C spaces have no validity in law.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Just IGNORE the scamming leaches :money: you will get official looking begging letters from them approx 3/6 standard robotic garbage, they are very handy if you have a wobbly table you can wedge the short leg and stop the wobble, or if you have a pet mouse or hamster the begging letters shredded make a nice warm bed for the pet rodent ;) dont worry about euro carparks they will give up and go away :rotfl:
PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue.

Ignore, P&C spaces are utterly meaningless other than as a marketing hook.

Why don't people see this: these companies are just private businesses, and they have no rights to impose "fines" on other people at all. They can charge for the use of their parking space, but cannot "punish" people legally.

    Welcome to MSE!

Hope you have read the sticky thread (second to top at the moment). See my signature and the links below.

I have also had a Euro Car Parks fake PCN and I laughed at it and ignored all the letters. That was 4 years ago and this year I got another one on my car, heehee! :D:D

You are not liable to pay and you must not 'appeal' either. This is a private company with an unsolicited invoice, dressed up to impersonate a parking ticket. If you try to 'appeal' it will be declined even though you parked there with good reason as you were collecting a child.

We know it will be rejected because there is NO APPEALS PROCEDURE. THEY PRETEND THERE IS ONE TO FOOL YOU!

I'm afraid that I wouldn't be surprised to read, one day, that somebody had their child snatched in a supermarket and the PPC attendant then ticketed the parent for this reason. :(
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
