Can anyone suggest where we can park in Central London on Saturday evening and Sunday all day cheaply or for free? We plan to go to Picadilly Circus on Sat pm and spend Sunday at the Kensington museums. Would like somewhere within shor walking distance of our destinations.

you won't find free parking in that area but most meters in the city of London are free after 1pm saturday and all day sunday, worse case think it's £2.50 in the car parks , flat rate for as long as you like
then it's only a short bus ride to picadilly circusEx forum ambassador

My parents park their car somewhere on the outskirts for free near a tube station and then get the tube in. Wanstead is a good place apparantly if that's the end you want.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

The controlled hours for the City of London Zone, during which motorists must pay to park in a permitted bay and must not park on single yellow lines, are 8.30am - 6.30pm Mondays to Fridays and 8.30am - 1.30pm on Saturdays. In some streets regulations also apply on Sundays. Times are indicated by time plate signs in the relevant streets. Double yellow lines indicate that parking is prohibited at any time.
The controlled hours for the Smithfield Zone are 24 hours a day and the regulations that apply to the market trading / loading bays permit goods vehicles only, at any time.
