Tesco and Residual Interest on their Credit Card

Are Tesco the most underhand and deceitful customer facing entity in the UK. Today I received my credit card statement, and I paid the balance due (over 5K), last month, and this month I have to pay them residual interest according to their terms and conditions. No where on their last statement was there any mention of residual interest due, and how to eliminate this charge.
It seems their business model is to con their customers, as I shopped there today and tried to get their 5p petrol discount, on toilet rolls. Go to Morrisons they are £3 for 9 as opposed to Tesco's £5 per ( but you have to buy 2 to get the coupon!)

So what's the point of your post ? You borrowed money, you pay interest. It's not rocket science is it !0

Umm... underhanded? Every single credit card is like that. Just because you don't understand how interest works, doesn't mean you should be calling them underhanded.
(Here's a tip, interest is charged till the date you pay the balance, so interest is calculating till that date... why should you get 20 or so days interest free just because you clear the statment balance?)0 -

If you read the main MSE site you can find out all about the Tesco petrol discount including which supermarket has each of the items cheapest, (which is Tesco for 2 of the 5) and the discount is 10p.

The fun part is that I got 20p/litre off after spending £28 on stuff I would have bought anyway (didn't really want to buy 5 of them), and then got 1% back in points by using my Tesco CC as a clubcard and then 3% cashback by paying with my Aqua card.
Tesco around here is currently 126.9, so thats 106.9 * 40 litres = £42.76, 42 clubcard points, and £1.28 cashback. Not bad at all.0
