My workings out -
8 miles = 1 hour, 55 miles = 1 gallon,
1 gallon = 4.546 litres
55 miles = 4.546 litres
12.09 miles = 1 litre
8 miles = 0.6617litre/hour
8 miles = 661.7ml/hour
=11.02ml/minute
=0.183ml/second0 -
still trying to get my head round the second part of your question!0
-
Thank you
So @ 30mph
11.02ml / minute
661.7ml / hour
30 miles = 661.7ml
4.546/0.6617= 6.87
30x6.87 = 206mpg0 -
Now how to pin point at what speed it will equal 141mpg0
-
I will leave some info for the reader
(hope I get his right)
1gallon=X1ml 1hr = X2minutes 1minutes= X3 seconds
(m/h)/(m/g) = g/h so ml/second = (g*X1)/(h * X3 *x3)
similar process to do the other calculation allthough there is a short cut.
55/8 = X/30 so X = 206.25mpg0 -

No idea what you did there, but same answer as me.
How about what speed = 141mpg?0 -
55/8 = 141/y y = 20.510
