I brought a Kindle Fire (The Colour one) back from the US last year, worked no problem, need a pin adaptor for the power supply of course but thats no hassle. connected to a UK Amazon account no problem
although I have got rid of it now the Google Nexus has come out, much better machine.Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -
The only problem is that everything in the US is 10 times bigger than in the UK so you will need to reduce the font size and turn off the auto "long word explanation" features
It should be fine, but be aware that items shipped in from the US are liable to UK taxes.0 -
Thanks - a friend is travelling & so they can bring it back.
I had just read something about adverts on the US version which you can't stop it showing.
What makes the Nexus better?
I have an ipad & use the Kindle app, not good for reading outside though so prefer the lighter weight option of the Kindle.0
