Simple question re Euros

I need to have about 1000 Euros in cash for a trip to France soon. Is my most economic route:
  • Just buy in the UK from a bank/post office over the counter
  • Use my debit card to buy when in France
  • Take sterling and buy in France

Many thanks!

rATES CHANGE EVERY DAY but if you dont have one already get a nationwide building society debit card as this is the only card that does not incur a transaction fee when used abroad.

I would not take £1000 in cash for fear of losing it...use travellers cheques and you may not be charged for this if your current account lets you have this as a freebie... go chat with your bank first.
