According to PePiPoo Haswell failed yet again to turn up to a court case in Exeter. This shows that like most bullies if you stand up to them they will run away with their tails between their legs.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Good news, but he still needs just one default judgement or poor defence to be able to claim a court victory post VCS vs. HMRC.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

So how many 'no shows' are they allowed before they done for wasting the courts time?0

It may be worth gathering a list of the no shows and on the next one bring it too the attention of the Judge!
A judge may well ask him to attend and explain himself/themselves!0 -

I hope the defendant in this case asked the Judge for a Wasted Costs Order against the claimant - he should have had no trouble getting the maximum daily rate of £90.It may be worth gathering a list of the no shows and on the next one bring it too the attention of the Judge!

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
Anyone fancy getting a UKCPS invoice and nominating Sc unthrope county court for the hearing?0

Haswell should retire now. He is 60 after all.
I don't blame people for not asking for costs as last thing on their mindFor everthing else there's mastercard.

I do. Whenever I go to court, I always take a printed Costs Schedule, so that when the Judge / Magistrate says "case dismissed" I can present this, and get them to make an order there and then.BASFORDLAD wrote: »... I don't blame people for not asking for costs as last thing on their mind
You can send in an application for costs afterwards, but that always gets "taxed" (ie whittled down) so always go prepared.

Yes but if you havent been in court before its a very daunting prospect that can make newbies very nervous,
So when you win its really relieving and people are just happy its over.
So if your mind is racing costs might not be on your mindFor everthing else there's mastercard.
