Buying online from UK to USA

Hi Guys
Is there any advice on buying products online from the UK in the USA?
I know about what card to use in the USA when you are there to avoid large charges.
But I recently have bought a few items only to see Barclaycard adding
a 267.20 U.S. DOLLAR USA Transaction Fee £ 5.16
So is there a card that does not charge these fees? Or do they all charge it but some fail to show it like BC do?
Just looking for a bit of advice; like if I used my Zero CC would it be free of charges?

Most cards will charge around 2.75% however it will be hidden within the exchange fee. If you're talking about the Santander Zero card then yes it should give you a perfect exchange rate with no fees, if a card advertises that it's free to use abroad then it shouldn't charge you for online purchases. The only other two I can recall from my head who don't charge you are Aqua and Metro Bank.0

Halifax Clarity Card also doesn't charge you:)0

Norwich and Peterborough debit card does not either.0

Yep, Zero is great. Also a good way of getting cash too - no cash fee, just interest from the date of transaction. Minimal if paid off promptly. (If mixing transaction types, you might have to clear the entire balance otherwise your payment might not be applied to the cash amount first.)0
