Strange feedback link

I have been doing a search for Range Rovers and found one with a start price of 1p and a buy it now price of about £9,000.00 which was way underpriced and obviously not to be touched with a barge pole. Out of interest I clicked on the feedback which was about 30, and it opened up an Outlook Express box with a Gmail email addie.

How did that happen?

It is not ebay!!!!! Do not click any links in that page, do not enter your sign in details, if you have change your password immediatly

EDIT: Just to let you know a bit more, the auction in particular I found fairly easily and is setup to redirect you to another website, you may think the page just reloaded itself but it didn't, this is basically a phising attempt, it mimicks ebay in the hope someone will sign in to bid on their page and they get their passwords etc

But I had that in an official ebay email for my favourite searches along with other legit items.

The auction really exists, then into the description they have put a redirect script, so it will send you to that phising page

I'm beginning to think I'm a danger to the public.

I've changed my password to be on the safe side.

Hmmm I can see 2 similar listings there now - the redirect is so fast I can't get the auction numbers of the genuine auctions to report. Immediately both listings flag up as phishing websites though...so hopefully most people will have their phishing filter enabled in internet explorer.

These scum are getting cleverer and cleverer grrrrr

But why are ebay themselves sending it to me as part of my favourite searches?

Ebay will be sending you the link of the GENUINE listing....that's the listing that's been hijacked and redirects you to the phishing spoof ebay website.

could be a seller that you have used in the past who has had their account hacked?

Anyways, auction number for the first one: 190095732989
    Second: 300094397961

if you look at the listing numbers of the dodgy listing, then open another tab/browser window and go to ebay you'll see that the listing numbers don't exist.
