Do I need to contact bidder about this?

Options
Hi
I have one bidder so far on an item that that's due to end next week. However, I forgot to clarify some info in the listing so I have just 'revised' the description a few minutes ago to prevent any misunderstandings.

Do I need to contact the winning bidder about this in case they don't read it again or will eBay automatically send them a notification that I made a change to the auction?

Thanks :o

i would personally email the bidder and point out that the listing has been revised..... and state why it was revised....

i must admit when i read a listing and place a bid or watch the item... i dont normally read the listing again...

  • surprised ebay let you revise when a bid had already been placed

the bidder should be auto notified, but then again that all depends on their email preferences, so no harm in you contacting them.

It didn't let me revise; only let me add an extra tag description after the listing. Sorry, that's what I meant.

I just tried to contact the bidder but the eBay security functions won't let me send the message as they think I could be trying to do a deal off eBay, lol.

Oh well, I suppose I could just hope someone else wins the item.

I think it is really decent of you to try and contact them.

Is there anyway you can go into their profile and email them that way? i.e. come out of your sale and contact them via community?

Is what you have added a positive paragraph? If so I can't think they would grumble too much.

Let us know how you get on.
